The KWV10 Sax Summit celebrating Winston 'Mankunku' Ngozi

The KWV 10-year-old Sax Summit was held at West End on Sunday 29 Janaury 2012, celebrating the legacy of the legendary Winston 'Mankunku' Ngozi. Yakal 'Nkomo featured Barney Rachabane, Khaya Mahlangu and Mark Fransman, backed by Mankunku's regular CT Band with George Werner on piano, Errols Dyers on guitar, Spencer Mbadu on bass, Ivan Bell on drums and Victor Kula on saxophone.

The concert was sponsored by KWV10 and produced by Kader Khan of m2x.co.za

Below are some images and a compilation video from the performance. With this being a sax summit, I have focused mostly on the saxophonists, the backing band delivered outstanding solos which I would love to have showed you but this gives you a taste of this historic event, having all of these great musicians on the same stage. Enjoy!
