The Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival is on the horizon, 21 - 23 May, together with a new venture: the Cape Town Marimba Festival, 15 - 16 May. All the participating students are from school and community groups.

Friday, 15 May: Herschel, St Cyprian's, Edgemead Primary and High, Bishops, Milnerton High, Music Therapy Community Clinic, Rustenburg Girls' High

Saturday, 16 May: St Joseph's Marist College, Wynberg Girls' Preparatory and High, Pinelands High, Cedar House, Camps Bay High, Forres, Reddam House, SAEP.

Featuring a mass marimba band on both evenings, and special guest performances by amaAmbush SIYEZA and Manenberg high School Steel Band
