16 Oct 2009 As spring brings with it new beginnings, so is true for the Henry Taylor Art Gallery. At the end of September, we came to end of our lease at the Design Quarter and were confronted with the options of extending or leaving the mall. We were forced to inspect our present status where we discovered that although we were greatly sheltered from the world recession and did not incur its full impact, our core business of investment art had suffered. This was because the target market for our core business no longer located primarily at the Design Quarter and had migrated to other, newer, more exclusive locations. It was on the basis of this finding, that the decision to leave the Design Quarter was concluded, because like any organisation within any industry in this competitive economy of ours, it is not enough to simply provide an exceptional product at an attractive price. There is a need to provide what the customer wants, where ever they are at the price they appreciate.

We have felt the need to be as transparent as possible to you our most valued of customers and hope that your support will continue to be with us in our new location.
