Doritos has extended the closing date for its 15 Seconds of Flavour advertising competition, with entrants now having until 21 June 2010 to submit their videos.
Young creative minds have the one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to complete one of four Doritos Collisions television adverts, and stand a chance to win their share of R200 000 in prizes as well as a shot at Loeries glory.
There’s also R20 000 in cash up for grabs by members of the public, who can start rating the adverts from 17 May 2010 and win big during the daily draws.
The task is not simple, but the prize pot and potential rewards are rich: apply your creative skills and complete one of the four 15-second Doritos Collisions TV ads you’ll find at www.15seconds.co.za – and it could be your ticket to fame and open doors for you in the advertising or film industry.
There are four themes – “The House Party”, ”Peeping Tina”, “Double Vision” and an “Anything Goes” option – which allow a wide berth for some serious innovative thinking. Complete one of the ads by producing an extra 15 seconds of filmed or animated footage, upload it to the website – and voila! Next thing you know, you may find yourself directing the next big box office blockbuster…
Budding creative’s – from students to ordinary members of the public with a knack for a clever idea and a flair for crafting a knockout visual punch – can now take advantage of the extended deadline to perfect their 15-second works of art.
Pre-judging will take place from 22 to 25 June and final judging is on 28 June. The four winners, who will be announced on 2 July, will each receive R50 000 in cash. In addition, the best student and non-student submissions will be entered into the Loeries Student Awards, and the winning ads will be flighted on television.
