I'm from Cape Town South Africa, where I promote/produce and perform Stand up Comedy. My interest in comedy started when I saw a performance by Howie Mandel, i was in awe how a guy could entertain a crowd with nothing more than a wicked imagination and a big mouth. My comedy ability was shown in my school days already when I won the orators competition in 1994 with my hilarious topic: Did Humpty Dumpty really fall?! The following year I formed "B 'n B", which was a 2-man comedy sketch group with a school friend. We performed our original comedy sketches at various school functions. Since then I have been working hard to break into the Comedy industry. I found it to be very clicky at one stage and it was more a case of who you know than the actual ability to make people laugh.

With this in mind I realised I had to create my own stage time and ended up producing my own one man show and taking it to various festivals and theatres within South Africa. Last year I met a guy called Alistair Plint, he runs the Comedy Shop, which is based in Johannesburg, with his guidance, I was able to create a routine that rocked, as well as a platform to promote comedy in Cape Town. (Thanks Al) My goal is to obtain and develop the best comedic talent in the Cape Town Region whilst creating a profession and industry for young aspiring artists. In 2006, I became founding member of the Cape Town Comedy Guild, creating stage time for up and coming comics. I have also taken on the role of producer for various comedy projects, as well as being a booking agent for the Comedy Guild and other local comedians. The Cape town Comedy industry is booming, people are flocking to see their favourite funny men and women in action. And I am proud to be do my part to bring the best comedic talent to the stage!
